Havant · Hampshire · Luxury wall finishes
Bespoke polished plaster, lime-based textures and stone-inspired surfaces for homes, feature walls, fireplaces, bathrooms and commercial interiors.
The rebrand
Primordial Stone has evolved. The business now focuses predominantly on Venetian plaster and luxury decorative wall finishes, while keeping a small specialist artificial stone service for clients who want sculpted stonework, fireplaces, garden features or textured architectural pieces.
What we do
Smooth, luminous, layered walls with natural movement, depth and sheen. Ideal for luxury lounges, staircases, dining rooms, reception spaces and statement interiors.
One wall transformed into the room’s focal point, with copper, clay, bronze, stone or soft neutral plaster tones.
Decorative finishes around fireplaces, media walls and chimney breasts, designed to feel architectural rather than painted-on.
Sealed plaster and microcement-style surfaces for bathrooms, cloakrooms and spa-like rooms where waterproofing and specification matter.
High-impact surfaces for salons, bars, restaurants, receptions, offices, studios, showrooms and boutique retail environments.
Breathable, cloudy, aged-lime finishes for understated spaces that need warmth, movement and natural texture without high gloss.
Seamless modern surfaces with an industrial, gallery-like feel. Excellent for contemporary homes and commercial projects.
Repairs, refinishing and refresh work for existing decorative plaster surfaces where the finish has dulled, marked or needs reworking.
A smaller legacy service for hand-sculpted faux stone, fireplaces, textured panels, garden features and bespoke stone-effect surfaces.
Finish menu
Layered lime and mineral finish, burnished to soft satin or high-gloss shine.
Fine or textured Italian plaster with a softer stone feel. Beautiful in warm neutrals.
Dragged and pitted plaster for a carved, ancient-stone surface with horizontal movement.
Aged lime putty burnished to an almost glass-like depth and luminosity. The pinnacle of traditional Venetian plaster.
Bronze, copper, champagne and aged-metal movement for a darker premium look.
Layered plaster cut back to reveal pattern, symbol, texture or bespoke design.

Ultimate 2026 look
The site is built around the new brand direction: warm plaster, copper-brown movement, carved stone detail and a finish that feels old-world, premium and serious.
Watch
Project walkthroughs, finish close-ups and behind-the-scenes plaster work from Roger's latest installations.
How it works
Roger discusses the room, lighting, style, budget and finish direction.
Walls are checked for cracks, movement, gloss paint, moisture and preparation requirements.
Colour, sheen, texture and pattern are agreed before the main installation begins.
Surfaces are cleaned, filled, sanded, primed and made ready for the plaster system.
Multiple coats are applied by hand to build movement, depth and texture.
The final finish is polished, sealed where required and handed over with care guidance.
The craftsman
Primordial Stone is solely owned and run by Roger Holman from Havant. Roger brings 20 years of hands-on building experience into every project, combining practical trade knowledge with the eye of a decorative surface specialist.
That matters. Venetian plaster is not just decoration. It depends on preparation, substrate knowledge, product choice, timing, pressure, finishing and sealing. Roger manages the detail himself so the final surface feels permanent, considered and premium.
Areas covered
Primordial Stone serves Havant, Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Emsworth, Chichester, Fareham, Southampton, Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey, Dorset, London and selected UK-wide projects.
